Transgender Day Of Remembrance

When: Every Year on November 20th

Every November Joy MCC honors Transgender Day of Remembrance. Our community is a beacon of love and acceptance, where fellowship meets social justice. Together, we remember and advocate for our transgender siblings. Join us for a day of reflection, support, and solidarity. Everyone is welcome to stand with us in unity and compassion. Together, we can create a more inclusive world. #TDOR #LoveAndJustice

A Prayerful Presence

When: Every Year on June 12th from 2 am-5 pm

On June 12th every year, Joy MCC offers a space for our community to come together and remember those we lost in the Pulse tragedy. It’s a day where we gather to share our grief and find solace and strength in each other’s presence. Through heartfelt ceremonies, uplifting tributes, and moments of silence, we come together as one, united in love and solidarity, as we honor the memories of those who will forever remain in our hearts.

Come Out With Pride

When: Every Year in October

Every year, Joy MCC takes part in Orlando’s annual Come Out With Pride parade. It’s a joyous occasion where our community comes together to stand tall, celebrate diversity, and embrace inclusivity. We march alongside allies and advocates, spreading messages of equality and unity. With each step, we reaffirm our commitment to creating a world where everyone can live authentically and proudly.

Expand Don't Ban Book Club

When: 2nd and 4th Monday of every month

Join Joy MCC on the 2nd and 4th Monday of every month to take part in our Expand Don’t Ban Book Club. Here we read banned books as an act of defiance against the government as they continue to ban LGBTQ+ books. Together, we fight stereotypes and stand up for the freedom to explore ideas and identities without constraints. Join us in turning the pages of resistance and embracing the power of knowledge to create positive change in our community. Join our meetings in person or via Zoom.
